The Leeds Tour of the Yorkshire Dales is a morris weekend for Leeds Morris Men and their friends. It’s currently in its 61st year, and given the 60th year being so large it had to be scaled down this year, but over the entire weekend there was about a total of 160 dancers. On Friday people turn up and settle down, for a day of dance on Saturday. A few dancers choose to go to a limited dance schedule on the Sunday, and then Monday is the largest day of all with a mass dance out in Kettlewell at the start and beginning of the day.
Wayzgoose and Heartsease joined us on the first day around Ilkley, Skipton, Cracoe, Linton, Grassington and Burnsall. There were also two other tours, however they weren’t pleasured enough with my personal attendance unfortunately. It was my third year, and it was a lot of fun with an awful lot of dancing with a lot of great dancers.
